Hezekiah was a righteous king of Judah (c. 715-686 BCE) who trusted God, destroyed idolatry, and sought the prophet Isaiah. When Assyria threatened Jerusalem, he prayed and God delivered the city (2 Kings 18-20, Isaiah 36-39). When he became ill, he prayed and God granted 15 more years of life.
