Yasser ibn Amir (RA) and his wife Sumayya were among the earliest converts to Islam in Mecca. As slaves, they faced brutal torture from the Quraysh but refused to renounce their faith. Sumayya became the first martyr in Islam, killed by Abu Jahl, and Yasser soon followed. Their son Ammar became a great companion.
